Dave fiddled with the Bullywhips beret as he walked down the hallway. He stopped at the choir room and stood guard, waiting to escort Kurt after practice. A few passersby looked at him funny but he stared them down, unwavering in his duty.

Sam walked out of the choir room and shook his head as he saw Dave. "Ya know Santana's prom queen run is over. You can stop pretending to help Kurt," he said folding his arms across his chest.

Dave scoffed. "Keep walking, Evans. This isn't your business." Dave wasn't gonna back down, he stood up straighter. "And I was never pretending."

Sam shook his head and a small smirk spread across his face. "Yeah well I'm watching you. I don't trust you yet," he answered as Kurt walked out of the choir room. He shook his head and walked away flipping his bangs out of his face.

Dave didn't like the look Sam had on his face. Like. Like he knew. "Hey," he chased after him, motioning for Kurt to follow, "what the hell does that mean?"
